The Story of Sons of Sharon

The year was 1952, and all was well, as a  result of the persistence of several men of Sharon Hill, Sons of Sharon Lodge #142 was given the opportunity to function as a viable and duly accepted lodge. Worshipful Master Edgar Benson, Senior Warden Emory Whitehead, and Junior Warden David Brown were established as the pillars of Sons of Sharon Lodge #142. Their meetings took place at Lincoln Elementary School Located at Clifton Ave and Hook Rd., where Edgar Benson held the position of janitor and was given permission to hold meetings there. John Sealy who was a member of Lemuel Googlin Lodge #129 at the time, demitted to Sons Of Sharon lodge about this time. As the membership grew  a larger venue was needed and 616 Sharon Ave Sharon Hill Pa 19079 was available and was now the home of Sons Of Sharon Lodge #142
